📍 0.8 miles from Pride Park Stadium
A five-minute walk from Derby station, the Alexandra Hotel is very popular on match days and sits on the typical away-fan route toward Pride Park. Guides explicitly list it as an away-supporter-friendly pub, making it a reliable pre-match option for visitors. The bar focuses on real ale with multiple cask and keg lines, and the venue posts an active taplist—handy if you want a quality pint before heading to the ground. There’s also a light food offer (filled cobs, sausage rolls, pork pies) for a quick bite. All of that, plus the easy rail connection, makes the Alex a strong, practical choice for away fans in Derby.
Great selection of real ales and ciders, rotating regularly and well kept. Bar snacks (pork pies and sausage rolls) are delicious. Staff are excellent, always very friendly and welcoming. Ideally located near Derby station.
One of Derby's renowned pubs for great real ale and it doesn't disappoint. Good selection on at the minute and great pit stop after a dreary Derby County game! It's very oldie Worldy and has some nice historical train features if that's your thing. Good value for money too.
Still the classic ' cranks' pub with it's railway memorabilia. Stunning beers ,
We nipped in yesterday afternoon for a few with family, but we forgot there was a football match, so place was rammed. Couldnt get into main bar area as it was knee deep with larger louts, so decided to try rear bar, was busy aswell but not as bad. Waiting about 10 mins to get served and during that time someone decided to drop thier guts in the queue. Whoever it was i think you need to see a doctor sir! Vile stench. Apart from being gassed out, we enjoyed our visit.
Great beer. A great proper pub. Snacks available. Lots of choice 🍻
