The Old Duke is a historic jazz and blues pub located in the heart of Bristol, approximately 1.5 miles from Ashton Gate Stadium. While it does not prominently advertise itself as a football pub, it has been noted for showing live sports events, including football matches. The pub serves a selection of real ales and ciders, including popular brands like Doombar, Otter Ale, and Butcombe Adam Henson's Rare Breed. Additionally, the pub offers bar snacks such as crisps and nuts, providing a casual setting for fans to enjoy a drink before or after a match. Its central location and proximity to other venues make it a convenient stop for both home and away supporters.
An amazing venue for music and drinks of all sorts. Attentive and efficient staff keep the drinks flowing. You will find your groove no matter what night you show up.
Good choices on tap... However the beer tastes like they do not clean the lines ... Drink their bottled options or spirits. The vibe is amazing when they have a band on, they always book great music, very wholesome.
Really enjoyed the venue and music here, a nice find on a Monday night. Can't comment on food as was drinking only.
A Bristol institution that lives up to the hype. This long established Jazz Pub on King Street, a stone's throw from the Bristol Old Vic is very much as it always has been. Great for live jazz on the weekend and a fabulous place for a drink on a sunny day! A very mixed clientèle and can be noisy inside, well with a live band that's only to be expected, and lots of basic pub benches outside.
Nice friendly atmosphere. Only went in on a lunchtime but I know it is often really rocking and full with a fantastic atmosphere when live jazz being played in an evening. Lovely location in an historic part of Bristol
