📍 0.4 miles from Ashton Gate Stadium
Right by Ashton Gate on Ashton Road, Coopers Arms is a pre-match hub for Bristol City supporters and is described as being in the shadow of the stadium/closest to the ground. It’s very popular with home fans on match days and even closes after the game, underlining its match-focused crowd. Inside, there are big screens and TVs showing football, so you can keep up with other fixtures before heading to the turnstiles. In short: it’s a traditional home-fan spot with live football on TV a short stroll from the stadium—ideal for a pre-match pint.
I had a pickled egg for the first time. Amazing. Then I had a pickled egg in the bag of cheese onion and cheeses crisps top tier. Stella Recommended by Sam the angel P.s. toilets are amazing unreal
The Coopers is a brilliant, traditional English pub. Decent beer selection, but most importantly a fantastic atmosphere, especially before the rugby (and presumably football)
Fabulous pub. Great food when they do it. It's not a food pub, but when Ian the landlord cooks, it's always spot on.
Really pleasant and friendly staff and always go out of there way to make my disabled wife a excellent time
Great pub gets very busy when the rugby on and only accepts cash on game days
