Thoroughly enjoyed this pretty little pub. I r always known about it but never gone in. But as I live close I wanted to try it out. I had also heard great things about the roast. We had the salt marsh lamb roast, and it was full of flavour and texture. Beautifully put together with all the items one would expect and hope for in a roast. We added the cauliflower cheese to share which was enough for two. Lovely rich gravy and well made roasters also. I’m not big on desserts lately but was encouraged by my wife to share her sticky toffee pudding. Which was covered in a burbon and toffee sauce and topped with clotted cream vanilla icecream. This was washed down with a non alcoholic milk stout, which I found surprisingly delicious, as I quit booze a month ago. I shall return for sure.

Lovely, friendly and chatty staff, gorgeous food and such a nice atmosphere. I had the pork belly which was absolutely amazing with the best crackling, perfectly cooked with beautiful veg on the side, and the apple sauce was unreal. The wine was great too. Loved it so much we’ve already booked again for next weekend!

Excellent choice of beer (including the bottled ones in the fridge), truly amazing Sunday Roast experiences, and a great pub to hide in on rainy days. Toilets are sort of outdated, but this is just adding to the overall flair of this place. My number 1 spot to take friends visiting Bristol for Sunday Roast to.
