About this Pub

The Angel Inn
A Nottingham Forest fan guide recommends the Angel Inn (BS41 9LT) for Bristol City away days, noting roadside parking outside and that they’d welcome well-behaved away fans. The pub shows live sport (and has advertised live Six Nations), so you can catch televised matches before or after Ashton Gate. WhatPub lists frequent bus services (X7/X8/X9) stopping within ~50m, making it a practical base for travelling to and from the city on matchdays. WhatPub also confirms lunchtime and evening meal service, useful for pre- and post-match food.

Brilliant pub. Everything you need from a traditional pub: a warm welcome, well kept beer, decent well-priced traditional pub grub and a lovely roaring fire. The garden looks great for the summer. I'll definitely be back.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday and generally found it very good. Whilst there is no on site parking there is plenty on on road parking close by. Staff were very pleasant and there was a good selection of beers on offer which were very good. Food was good as was the service. Only downside was that when we were there the atmosphere was a little cold.

After a 30-year absence I felt right at home on entering. Delicious ale. A pub from yesterday. Busy, for 5pm as they were staff member down, and it was 2 days before Christmas.
