Useful pre- or post-match rendezvous for drivers: the pub is just off the M65 (J4) with on-site parking, so it's easy to meet, eat and get to/from the game. The venue shows live football, and Brewers Fayre promotes HD screens and major competitions, so you can catch early/late kick-offs with food and drinks. It's also next to the Premier Inn Blackburn South (M65, J4), and the Liberoguide notes this Premier Inn with the attached Oakenhurst Farm Brewers Fayre as a convenient option for away fans coming by car—handy if you're staying nearby or need a motorway-adjacent stop on matchday.
Food really nice. There was a 40 minute wait & we was made aware of this when we ordered. Lady Supervisor / manager (went above & beyond) was super helpful with a small request we had. Thanks to all the efficient staff.
Can’t really go wrong here. Great place to take kids so that they can use the play area to burn off all that energy and that eat a full meal! Katie was extremely helpful and friendly during our last few visits, making sure that everything was as expected and entertaining our little one.
The service was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite being extremely busy serving the Sunday carvery, they remained professional. The food was very nice but as it was placed on cold plates the burger was almost cold, which was a shame. We arrived at 5.30pm and it was full of young families & children who had come for the carvery. As an older couple it was rather noisy but once the carvery was finished it quietened down considerably. All in all we were happy.
Visited with my family today, Wednesday 6th, on my final day before heading back to university, hoping for a nice meal — but unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. Our starters arrived overcooked to the point of being inedible, and when the mains eventually came, they were missing the extra items I’d paid for. I was refunded by a staff member named Olivia — the only one who seemed to care about service — and she assured me the extras would follow. They did, but were undercooked. I barely touched the meal. I then tried to order drinks at the bar, but stood there for around 10 minutes while four different staff members ignored me, despite it being quiet, as it was 2pm on a Wednesday. Olivia was busy with another customer, otherwise I imagine she would’ve helped. As someone who also works in hospitality, I found the overall service careless and the kitchen standards poor. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be advising friends and family to avoid this place too.
Absolutely brilliant place, the staff are ace and very friendly. A big shout out for Fred he is so funny and makes people laugh. He goes above and beyond for all customers. Jen, Jodie and Katie are amazing too, very curtious and happy to do anything for anyone. Love them all, best staff and brilliant customer service.
