Fernhurst is a classic pre-match spot for visiting supporters. It's only a short walk from Ewood Park (around four minutes) and the venue actively promotes watching live sport, with big screens showing Sky Sports/TNT Sports. Multiple away-day guides list it as the away fans' pub or specifically welcoming to visiting supporters, and it's noted for getting very busy on matchdays. Some guides also note that many away fans choose to park here before walking to the ground. All of this makes it a convenient meet-up for away supporters looking to watch early kick-offs, grab food, and head to the stadium together.
Food was really good. Service was just ok. Not enough knives and forks or serviettes in the pot on the table and had to try and find someone after food arrived, found the cabinet where I got them for our table. Didnt get asked if we needed any condiments , they was on the cabinet with the cutlery so we helped ourself. We wasn't asked if everything was ok with out food. Service was friendly but could be improved. The app gives option to tip the waitress on checkout. Sorry but shouldn't prompt this before any servicebor food provided. Food was excellent.. so compliments to the chef! . We came at a quiet period midweek - mid afternoon.
This place has to be in the top 5 places to eat in Blackburn in my opinion. The food is absolutely spot on, the portions are more than enough and you can easily get meals from one plate , as you can see from the images there was quite a lot of food and somehow my oldest still managed to eat 2 desserts aswell. It is well worth the money it costs, the prices aren’t too much and on different days of the week they have different offers too. The staff were very friendly and polite and the drinks aren’t that expensive either. The atmosphere is calm, they have a car park too and it is accessible for disabled people , there is also a beer garden if you want to sit outside
Disgusting, we ordered the kofta flatbread and the katsu curry platter ! The flatbread: Salad looked like last weeks, sweet potato fries cold and koftas undercooked Katsu : Chicken undercooked, debated if it was chicken gristly, inedible, fries some hard and cold so probably still frozen curry sauce was nice. The place is short of a good clean and a makeover, not one toilet in the ladies still had A seat attached and no loo paper . Definitely will not be returning. Staff pleasant was it’s only saving grace
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Ferhurst, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the service. My server, Erv, was very good—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire visit. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked in at just the right times without being intrusive. His positive attitude and excellent service really enhanced our evening. Overall, I highly recommend The Ferhurst and look forward to returning soon!
Had a great experience here with the family - to be honest, my expectations were low, but the service was great, the food was genuinely good and represented great value. Big car park and plenty of seating available
