Inside Ewood Park's Blackburn End, Blues Bar is a convenient pre/post-match base for Rovers fans. The club's supporter guide says it opens three hours before kick-off and stays open after the game, with hot and cold food on offer—ideal for meeting up before heading to the turnstiles or waiting for traffic to ease afterwards. The venue also runs TV screening events (with extra screens and bar offers), so home fans who aren't travelling or who want to catch other fixtures can watch live football together on matchdays.
Went there on the 8 dec for my work Christmas do. The staff was nice but didn't seem very experient, one of the girls that served me when I asked for wine didn't know how to pronounce sauvignon blanc, quite funny to be honest. As it was a private party, I couldn't really judge on the regular function days. But overall, it seemed like a nice spot.
Would be nice if the screens had sky sports and/or other live football before the games
A great atmosphere after the game and the live music is a good addition, however as is evident throughout the ground the staffing levels have been cut to a bare minimum, don't expect it to be easy to get served straight after a game but it's gone from bearable to infuriating this season with two or three staff serving and six deep the length of the bar sometimes. The staff themselves couldn't be nicer but must be frustrating for them also.
Used to love going to blues bar, over the years we have been many times. Now, looking at the up to date match day menu I am really disappointed to see the total lack of food for vegetarians. Both me and my mum are veggie. Very disappointed, like I say, it used to be great.
