It's just off Blackburn town centre, with Blackburn railway station about 1.3 km away, making it practical for travelling supporters. There's also a car park, which helps if you're driving on matchday. CAMRA notes cask ale is available, and WhatPub describes it as a friendly local—useful for a relaxed pre-match pint while the TV is on.

Charming bar staff. Friendly mixed customers. Lovely Guinness. Bowling green, pool, jukebox. Excellent value for money.
Really reasonable prices for the drinks and bar snacks (crisps, nuts etc). Pool table, dart board, selection of board games, jukebox, quiz machine and an excellent bowling green.
Great old style traditional pub, have good real ales, friendly staff and customers, not tried food. Feel very chilled & welcome. Bonus can take my dog in.
Not my kind of pub and I wouldn't personally choose to go there but I do bowl on the bowling green which is really nice. The people are lovely and it is a great atmosphere when bowling
