Awesome old style pub with amazing food. My steak was cooked perfectly. The ribs just fell off the bone and the Beef and Guinness pie was beautiful, 10* for amazing meals. Not much more to say, simply stunning.

Came in here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon as I was going to a gig at the institute next door. It really is a lovely traditional old-style pub. I had the beef roast dinner, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Friendly locals and good beer made it an enjoyable precursor to the gig. I recommend...

A pub and Bed and Breakfast that doesnt really care about the Bed and Breakfast part. The heat in the rooms was terrible and suffocating and we were told the venue was unable to shut it off (despite at least one radiator in the bathroom not being on). Music drones on until 2am (despite hearing they had a 10pm quiet curfew?) so don't expect to get any sleep. Was told they didnt turn it up but later found out they had a DJ that turned the base up as high as it went and left it there. Was told 8am breakfast but no one was even in the building preparing at 7.55 so we had to skip that to get on with our day. No one seemed too fussed, I don't reccomend staying.

Called in for lunch before heading back to Bristol. Lovely, original style old pub, lovely seating area in the lounge too. Ordered the Sunday Turkey lunch and the food was delicious. Lovely and hot as you would expect. Can’t fault this little corner pub, it’s atmosphere is great and the staff are lovely too…. We will call back here when we’re in the area again. Thank you for our lovely lunch before our long journey home.

What a lovely stay in The Big Bulls Head, Vicki and Clare were absolutely fantastic, so welcoming. Made us all feel at home, looked after us throughout our stay and would really make us not consider any other location when coming back!
