Went to the Tav festival today was brilliant. The atmosphere was electric and the landlord Mick was exceptionally good. The bands and staff were outstanding

Had a brilliant night went to see the Casinos play here . Great band an lovely pub staff was very friendly great service

pints are a bit expensive to be fair but a good pub none the less

Beer is good staff and locals freindly background music is a bit obscure but it ads to the atmosphere

Excellent pub. Serves real ale. Pleasant staff.. Get off tram at Rossal Square and about a 10-12 minute walk. Nice looking beer garden for when weather allows.

My local so I'm biased lol. Really good place though. Apart from the staff and the locals lol. Seriously been coming in the tav for about 22 years now. It's a really decent pub

Lovely pub, great chatty staff. Love that every one who goes to the Russell tavern interact with each other. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and my husband and I have visited more regularly.

I have gone to a number of pubs since arriving in England and unfortunately I can say that this location is far from hospitable. Between unpleasant interactions with other patrons to the older gentleman that people call JJ speaking with hostility and prejudice towards a foreigner, I could sooner recommend that you save yourself the unpleasant experience and simply drink and eat at home
