Excellent pub experience. High ceilinged front and back bars, no music and the TV off when I went. Huge garden: maybe 30 picnic benches. One local beer (Salopian) on plus standards like Landlord. Another fine Shrewsbury pub.

Had a couple of drinks in here on a Saturday night. Great selection of beers. Great service by the staff. Nearly only had one drink as just as I was due for refill a huge group arrived at the bar. I thought it would take forever to get served, but the bar staff were so efficient I had a fresh Guinness in no time

I just love this pub. Great atmosphere and beer choices. Every time we go to town, we always visit The Nags. If you are fed up with the big chain brewery pubs, you will love this place.
Well Done The Nag's Head!!!!

Loved the Nags Head. The lager and wine were of good standard, and the atmosphere was great. Lovely friendly people on both ides of the bar.

Absolutely loved it here. Lovely people both sides of the bar, oozing with history and character. To try and modernise it would be a complete travesty, take it as you find it, immerse yourself, and just enjoy it for what it is.
11/10 One of my favourite pubs in Britain. Well done everyone 👏

My favourite pub in Shrewsbury. Amazing beer garden in the summer months and cosy sitting inside/outdoor heaters for the colder months! Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere!

Really good old ale house on a hill in central Shrewsbury. A choice of a few ales, one I was on was lovely. Large outside area which has a very old structure overlooking it. I didn’t enquire what it was all about but I was impressed nevertheless. Supposedly haunted as it has cursed painting hidden away in the top floor with a sinister history. A quick online search will reveal said painting. Recommended pub! 🍻 👻
