I love the Black Horse. It was very quiet for our Sunday roast which is fine by me! The beef roast was really delicious. Connor was on the bar and he was very pleasant; responsive, polite, affable. Exactly what I would want. Gentle and friendly banter. He’s a gem. Thank you for a fab afternoon.

We had a little birthday get together here and it was just incredible. The staff were absolutely amazing (Jack in particular!!!!) going above and beyond in every way - made the whole area look gorgeous, looked after the cake and balloons - I just cannot thank them enough. Booking was super easy and they made everything so great. Would really recommend xx

I am usually quite nervous of pubs however I decided to head to the Black Horse for dinner since I figured it would be fairly quiet on a Monday. I wasnt disappointed, I had the cheese and bacon burger and the triple chocolate brownie and was well impressed with how nice the food was as well as the general atmosphere. The front staff especially (Will and Lucy) was really helpful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back for food again!

My girlfriend and I visited the Black horse for some lunch and a drink. The staff were very welcoming and smiley. Our food came very quickly and was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back again and I would recommend this as a must go for any visit to exeter!
