Lovely ambient, polite and accomodating waitress and nice guests. Music takes me back to the good days od speakeasys and classic pubs, where you could sit down and have a drink with your mates, after a long day at the factory. The new management is doing their job perfectly.

Great Boozer, rather than a bar. Good prices, draught beers/lagers that taste fresh and well gassed. Good crowd, everyone seemed to have both manners and respect. Great service by the bar staff. Recommended.

A bustling pub with good quality beers on and a pretty friendly vibe. There are plenty of seats, a pool table in the other room, and live music on the Friday evening we visited, which started at 10pm as the pub has a late licence.

Will always give this pub 5 stars. Brilliant atmosphere in a very clean and well looked after building. Food is always on point and quick. Very crisp and cold beer so you know it’s well looked after and overall just to lovely place to spend an evening in.

Had the best time, live band, although the price of 2 Guinness and blackcurrant seems to fluctuate depending on who serves you.

Lively Pub. However, closing time lasts about 2 hours. What I mean by that is that whether the pub is closed, it takes their guests to leave the street for anything up to 2 hours (12am-2am). Given that the area is on a main road, it is considerably quiet of a night as it is a residential area, with many houses and flats, places of business, and a school over the road. So, for the area, I would consider this Pub to be a bit too lively. Respectively, it does have aspects that are good. There's a range in age, a range in music, such as live artists. Their menu for food and beverages is very common for local eateries. Prenton/Oxton is home to many a Hotel/Inn/Pub, and all have their own characteristics. If you're a very lively person and don't mind it loud and staying up late, this Pub is for you. But if you're the kind of person who just likes to go for one or two quiet pints, I would advise going earlier in the day (12pm-5pm). Overall, I've seen much worse.

Went in on an absolutely freezing Saturday afternoon to watch the football results and the staff and locals warmed us up with their friendliness and banter. Might have helped that one of our group goes in there a bit, but still, they were a top bunch of people that made us feel welcome. We'll come back to visit our mate and hopefully we'll come back here again. Great pub and great name 😁 👍.
