Last year I ate here, they told me it was a nut free place. To my disappointment, after ordering scampi or squid; can’t fully remember, it turns out I had a very heavy allergic reaction with left me throwing up 11+ times. If it were my brother who’s more allergic, it would’ve killed him. Very poor awareness from the chef and servicing people. Should have, and wish I sued this place for hiding the fact they could have killed me. No accountability at all. Pretty sure we got food standards to check them out and they got a poor score as deserved. If you have an allergy I beg you to not come. Very high chance you’ll end up in hospital.

We came in on a Wednesday which was a pie night. It was our first time here. Excellent variety of pies on the menu. We had the classic steak and ale. Presentation was outstanding. Decent portion too! Absolutely delicious, enjoyed everything on the plate. Service was welcoming, fast and efficient. Atmosphere was 10/10. Will be here again!

Great food, fresh and tasty. First time visiting, we will be returning again soon. Can't wait to try the evening food 😋 Really polite and helpful staff.

Went to Ellenders for the first time tonight. Exceptional. Quality of food was great. Service very good. Venue itself is brilliant, so much memorabilia from York Street dotted around and some great detail. The best meal I've had in the South Lincs area and up there with some top, big city restaurants. Maybe the desserts are a little overpriced at £6 but if there's ever a restaurant I'm going to overpay in then I'd choose it to be one where the money goes to the club! Starter: Prawn Cocktail Main: Ribs (apologies, I got so excited and had a bite before I took the photo!) Dessert: Chocolate Fudge Brownie Top marks all round and I look forward to going back!

Great place, great decoration, and fabulous desserts. Cake and hot chocolate was brilliant, though it did take a while for the hot chocolate to come. I was in when it was quiet, dont know how it is on a busy matchday. But overall in my opinion, it is a good experience, atleast for me.

We were here with a function held in the upstairs area however used the downstairs bar to be served for drinks. I was firstly told when I ordered two mocktails that I'd have to wait for these to be made. It was made to seem as though ordering mocktails was an inconvenience, however, I agreed that this was fine. 3 other alcoholic drinks were then ordered and made straight away. We made the gent behind the bar aware we are part of the function and would like to take the drinks upstairs to which we were responded to quite abruptly with "drinks can't be taken out the venue". As understanding as I would have been towards this, it was only the night prior I was there and witnessed the same gentleman allow other members of a function (of the same purpose as ours) to leave the restaurant with alcoholic drinks to join their function. My partner then had to remind him of this, knowing he had also served us the night before and knew we were aware of what had gone on, yet my partner had to continuously argue the point when we were clearly being treated differently and being repeatedly told we couldn't take the drinks away. After getting to the bottom of this and being told we could walk through the back of the venue, we then waited for the mocktails to be made. When told I had to wait, I did not realise that the wait was so everyone else at the bar could have their orders taken and then made before I was allowed my drinks. At 6 months pregnant and very much needing a drink, I very quickly became frustrated at watching everyone else be served before me (a customer who had already waited to be served and paid for service + drinks). The customer service regarding this was awful. The wait was so long that we missed the beginning of our function and other members of the party ordering had finished half their pints. My partner raised this with a young waitress who said she cannot serve drinks and so just watched to the side as two men served everyone else. Again, I understand these barriers however on a Friday night, with a function also upstairs, you'd hope that all members of staff can chip in, or at least have more staff on to ensure good service. When arriving back to our function we received a cold welcome by a server upstairs, who told us she was going to get the general manager regarding us taking our drinks upstairs- which had already been agreed on by staff downstairs. We did not feel welcomed by anyone working during that evening, no initiative was taken by anyone to resolve any problems, nor apologies given for the clearly bias and rude service. Such a shame to have experienced this, having eaten out at Ellenders many times previously.

Had a wonderful dinner. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious (specially the brisket with mashed potatoes 😋). One of the best restaurants in Boston. I went on a non march day so it was not so crowded. Got free parking as well. Really friendly staff. Looking forward to visiting here again 😸

The food was superb! Darn good portion sizes too. My family of 4 left with full bellies and a brilliant dining experience.
