Football Ground Guide lists St Nicholas Arms as a pub usually suitable for away supporters. The pub shows Sky Sports, so you can catch early/late kick-offs around match time, and it serves a full food menu (also available via delivery partners), which is handy for pre- or post-match eats. CAMRA’s WhatPub notes it’s within walking distance of the city centre and close to bus routes, making it practical for traveling fans heading to or from Brunton Park.

Very good food! Many choices. We had pizza and four different pastas. All very good. Tortellini was fantastic! Server was so nice! Manager checked on us. Will absolutely eat here next time we are in town.

Great italian (and other) dishes full of flavour. Reasonably priced. The owner is a special man with a good heart.

We ordered a coffee. They do not offer oat or almond milk. The cappuccino was warm milk and warm water, with no coffee in it. The frontman was rude, almost hostile. We parked on the premises, but somehow, we were meant to know that this was not allowed. They could have warned us, but we received a fine from a private security firm. It was the perfect trap. Never again! A place I do not recommend.

After walking out of another establishment in the town centre, for lack of any service, we decided to walk down and try here for food. From the moment we stepped inside we were treated like old friends. Great crack, brilliant service and the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning, hopefully becoming regulars.

Pre Ordered 3 takeaway Sunday lunches yesterday for 5pm didn't arrive until 6pm then when phoned up to ask if it was on its way we were told 'due to poor weather conditions and it being dark it was taken longer then usual.'
Even though just eat deliver plenty of meals I'm sure they are used to it. Food was barely warm or edible we had waited that long we then had to reheat the food and eat it. Bearing in mind it was ordered 4hrs before we wanted it. Won't be coming back here again terrible service. For £37.50 this standard is not great

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. The lady who served us was so attentive and polite. We really enjoyed our meal there.
