The Clifton Arms is a classic pre-match stop for Crystal Palace supporters. It’s listed among Selhurst pubs with Sky Sports and described as the closest pub to Selhurst Park, making it a convenient meeting point before and after games. Time Out notes that Palace fans are plentiful here, reinforcing its home-crowd feel and lively matchday atmosphere. The pub advertises Sky and TNT Sports on three screens, so you can catch early kick-offs or post-match highlights. WhatPub places Norwood Junction Overground about 800m away, which helps with quick access to and from the ground. On some matchdays, patrons have reported ticket-holder entry, underscoring its role as a home-fan hub.

🚇Selhurst
🍺 £5.60 Estrella
A Welcoming Backstreet Palace Boozer.
The Clifton Arms is located in a quiet residential area in Selhurst, South London. This pub is the closest pub to Crystal Palace Football Club. The nearest station is Selhurst, it’s a five minute walk to get here.
This pub was built in 1865. Located at the front of the pub is a Pillory Sign, this is a rare sight outside any London Pub these days.
This is a well presented traditionally decorated one bar pub that is set out in a ‘J’ shape. The servery is centrally located with a solid wood counter, ornate back bar and is clad in tongue and groove panels. The walls are a combination of exposed brickwork and pale blue painted sections. There is a dartboard, a Jukebox and a few large screen Tv’s. At the rear of the pub is a patio’d beer garden with benches, parasols plus a couple of Eagle’s flags, there is also more benches at the front too.
The beer lineup will please the mainstream drinker with the option of one cask ale also. I decided on an Estrella, my pint was decent, price point was below average. There is no kitchen here but there is a Food truck outside serving Burgers, Wings and the like at various times of the week.
I arrived just before 1pm on a mild Saturday lunchtime in January. The pub was fairly quiet with three other punters in attendance. Chelsea were playing Fulham on the box so I decided to watch the first half while I was here. I managed to have a chat with the other punters who were very friendly and welcoming, the lady behind the bar was similarly friendly too. On match days this pub gets rammed to the hilt and is usually vertical drinking only, as long as you have a home ticket.
It’s amazing to see the contrast in how a football pub operates on non match days, it was great to meet the regulars and experience the pub for how it normally runs. I enjoyed my time at @the_clifton_arms chatting to the locals and chilling with a pint. If you’re ever in this neck of the woods, be sure to pop in for a pint.

Brought my father's ashes to selhurst park and called in for one last pint.. the young lady behind the bar couldn't have been nicer. Was just what I needed during an emotional time. Can't thank her enough.

Great pub for matchdays. Big beer garden, staff are very efficient meaning wait time is low even when very busy.
Ideal for a few beers before kick off. Palace fans only another bonus.
