Tucked away in the backstreets behind Stamford Bridge and close to the Chelsea football ground, The Fox & Pheasant is well placed for matchdays. It's explicitly listed in a Chelsea-supporter pub guide as a top Chelsea-friendly spot around the Bridge. The pub serves food with published kitchen hours and a full menu (including Sunday roasts), making it a reliable pre- or post-match option for a sit-down meal. CAMRA notes the pub offers changing cask ales alongside other beers, and the venue's own site confirms easy walking access via Fulham Broadway and West Brompton stations—useful on busy matchdays.

Perfect place for a Sunday roast, with choices of beef, pork and vegetarian. Refreshing cider on tap, plus extensive drinks menu. The strawberry sorbet wasn't really a sorbet, more like jam with ice, but everything else was delicious.
Friendly, easygoing staff.
Our table was downstairs, where the busyness didn't impinge on our conversation. A lovely skylight right above to let in the late summer sun.
Pretty ladies loo - a clean bathroom cannot be overstated!

We are an epicllay delicious meal here on Sunday evening. Made more special by lovely vibes in the restaurant. We ate: chipolatas, scotch egg, fried chicken and kale with mac and cheese (awesome)
Fish and chips and Sunday sirloin. Great staff too. Happy days

A nice pub in close proximity to Chelsea Football Club in Fulham, a short walk from Fulham Broadway tube Station. Met a couple of friends there on a Sunday for lunch. We had a couple starters that were quite tasty, the grilled squid and sesame shrimp rolls. We also had the Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower steak with cheese sauce, smoked salmon with salad and the plum pudding with ice cream. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Nice pub atmosphere. Definitely recommend but need to book especially on Sundays.

🚇Fulham Broadway
🍺 £7.40 Kirin Lager
The Fox and Pheasant is tucked away in an idyllic side street in Chelsea, just a stone’s throw away from Stamford Bridge. The nearest Tube is Fulham Broadway.
This pub was built in 1846 and was originally called the Bedford Arms. Ten years later, it was renamed the Prince of Wales, and in 1965 it took its current name, the Fox & Pheasant. In 2017, singer-songwriter James Blunt bought the pub and carried out major restoration work that retained much of its character.
This traditionally decorated two-bar pub has a compact servery serving both bars. The decor features half-height wall panels, sage green walls, boarded floors, and traditional furniture. Decorative fireplaces, historic photos, classic pub mirrors, and a statue of Mr Fox add character, while a well-used dartboard is a welcome sight.
At the back is a conservatory, which serves as a dining area and is fitted with rustic dining tables and sumptuous curved banquettes, with an olive tree as its centrepiece. Upstairs, there is a private dining room.
The beer selection was interesting and varied, offering a range of premium brews alongside three cask ales. I opted for a pint of Kirin Lager, my pint was excellent; price point was as expected. The food menu features elevated gastro fare alongside pub classics, with hearty roasts taking centre stage on Sundays.
I arrived at 1pm on a sunny Friday lunchtime in August. The left bar had a group of well to do locals, in the right hand bar was a friendly chap from Aberdeen who was visiting London pubs all weekend, and in the conservatory there were a couple of lunching ladies. The atmosphere was very relaxed with an almost village pub feel. The service was superb, the Lady who served me was warm, welcoming and personable.
Absolutely loved it here what a fantastic cosy pub. The exterior is so inviting, the decor homely and comfortable, the beer was on point and the service was first class. Fairplay to Mr Blunt, cracking pub, I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Great place to get British food such as Sunday roast. Their dessert, especially the banana bread was amazing. The quality and flavor was spectacular. The service was a bit slow as it was busy. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant however, the table was a little bit crowded.

Lovely place. Beautiful and cozy. The staff is welcoming and provided an amazing service. The food here is neat, not too much and not too little options. The menu felt just right, if you don’t want to be overwhelmed by choices.
The food was amazing. The 8 oz, has a delicate taste that is hard to replicate.
Highly recommend.

This fabulous gastro pub is like a piece of the English country side right in the heart of Chelsea. The dining room has a glass ceiling-great for jet lag! And seating is at tables or booths. Service is relaxed but food is absolutely outstanding

A fabulous meal - with people who care about food and service - and it shows! First, a big shout-out to Rafael, Michael, and all of the staff - and to the chef or chefs who create such fabulous food. My Summer Garden Salad with caramelized goat cheese was delicious. Three kinds of beets, cabbage, peas, and more veggies - all slightly pickled and lightly dressed with a tangy vinaigrette - I could move in and eat that seven days a week - everything was delicious, the hummus appetizer that you brought to us with drinks was so tasty (and generous!) - we hope to return soon.
