The Weir Bar

Why is The Weir Bar good for fans?

On Brentford home matchdays, The Weir runs a “Burger & a Pint” game-day offer, making it a handy pre- or post-match pit stop for food and a drink. They explicitly note they don’t show the football, so it’s a calmer option away from screens before heading to the ground. The pub serves meals (lunch and evening) with full menus, and it’s in Brentford town centre with nearby bus routes and Brentford rail station, which helps for matchday meet-ups and travel. Brentford FC also indicates local pubs generally welcome both home and away fans, supporting The Weir as a neutral meet-up spot.

Terrific evening at The Weir for our summer gathering of local residents. Great ambience, with a separate area down by the water reserved for us. The chefs laid on a magnificent spread, all beautifully presented. A fantastic success - thank you so much Jo, Christian and the whole team!

Amazing atmosphere, decor, music & staff. Erica and her team provide us phenomenal service and we will definitely return. This is definitely the best kept secret in the area that we stumbled across today.

Love the food at this place & Erica our sever was particularly attentive - just right ! The food is really good - quality and variety are exceptional. Unfortunately there was live music which was very loud so spoiled it & one couple didn’t even bother to stay. Depends what the pub wants to be known for ?

Our family of 26 lunched on Sat 12/4/25 at The Weir in their Conservatory Restaurant to ‘Celebrate Life’ for a sad death. Bittersweet inevitably, but hugely successful on every level. Newly refurbished and with super riverside gardens, the whole experience could not have gone better. Highest recommendation. Thanks!

Get yourselves here. The beers are good, the cocktail happy hour hilarious, and the food tasty and delicious. Add in a lovely intimate beer garden and a convenient location and you have a pub to which I’ll definitely return. Just a lovely evening!

Stopped of whilst on the Brentford Art Trail on Sunday. Had been to The Weir once previously for a drink at Christmas. Hadn’t realised it had a lovely garden overlooking over the Canal (and a Weir!) Very welcoming staff also very efficient - when a table was vacated the table was immediately cleaned and reset. Had table in pole position overlooking the canal in no smoking area (complete with no smoking flamingo guardians!) There was a fab mix of tall trees shading the garden, different seating areas but none too crowded. Good drinks choices. We weren’t planning on eating but we’re tempted by a couple of small plates - a prawn salad dressed beautifully and mot me some gorgeous crab doughnuts which were fab. We couldn’t tear ourselves away from such a relaxed venue perfect for a lazy Sunday. It was on the Trail as JMW Turner’s home and beautiful building was a great backdrop. An acoustic guitarist provided soft background music. It was perfect! I didn’t get the name of the very friendly FoH lady who greeted us so thanks to her but all the staff were obviously happy to be working there. A perfect afternoon! The photo is from Our spot in the garden across the canal to the weir

Me and my friends went to the Weir on bank holiday Monday for lunch and had such a wonderful experience thanks to the team and especially our waitress, Hannah T. From the moment we were seated, she was warm, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. She knew the menu inside out, gave fantastic recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Service like this makes such a difference! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with just the right balance of lively and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The food was absolutely delicious - full of flavour and beautifully presented. Big thanks to the Weir team, we will definitely be coming back!
