The Ship explicitly promotes live sport, including football, making it a practical spot to watch matches. Weekly deals such as Burger & Beer for £15 and £1 off selected pints highlight a good value pre- or post-match pint, with a range featuring St Austell and Bath Ales beers (e.g., Korev, Proper Job, Tribute, Mena Dhu, Anthem, Gem, Monterey). Food is served daily from 12:00–21:00, so fans can reliably get meals around kick-off times, and the venue’s late opening until 01:00 on Fridays through Sundays suits evening fixtures. Located on the Barbican at PL1 2JZ, it’s an easy central meet-up point on matchdays.

Great spot to pop in for a beer. A good variety of ales & ciders. Friendly staff.
An overall good atmosphere for a drink or food.

We had a wonderful meal Sunday roast at The Ship in Plymouth. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Seth the waiter, Alan and Rob the chefs in duty that day, who truly made our visit memorable. Seth was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable. You can tell he really cares — a real credit to the team. Highly recommend!

A Wonderful Experience at The Ship, Plymouth!
We had a fantastic meal at The Ship in Plymouth — the food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. A special mention goes to Anna, who is always so friendly and attentive. She truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and cared for. You can tell she’s a real asset to the team — professional, warm, and consistently helpful.
Highly recommend this place for both the food and the service. We’ll definitely be back!

We came here last Sunday and was very impressed. There was a delightful young lady behind the bar called Anna who saw to our every need with a smile.
My mum is hard of hearing and Anna was really patient and respectful of her.
Will come again , Seens like a welcoming, happy place

Lovely pub/restaurant on the Barbican. It's the first time I've been upstairs to the restaurant. Warm, welcoming and great views. The food was excellent. Beautifully presented tasted divine. Great service. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was clean and well presented.
