The Royal Horseguardsman

out of 278 reviews

Why is The Royal Horseguardsman good for fans?

A handy pre-match option: it's close to Brentford's football ground and has Sports TV with multiple screens showing different sports, plus it's a base for the West London Celtic Supporters—so televised games (including Celtic matches) are a focus. For getting to and from the game, bus routes 65 and 237 stop nearby and Brentford station is roughly 700m away, making it easy for fans arriving by train or bus. These factors make it a practical, sport-centric spot for both home and visiting fans on matchdays.

A real locals local. Street corner pub in Brentford. All watching the horses and chatting away. A great pub with a clear regular group of locals enjoying the afternoon. The bar staff are superb and the beer is great. Not at all a bad place for a pint.

Tried to go in at 6:30pm on a Tuesday and the door was locked although there was a few people in there drinking. Something to do with the Jamaica v Trinidad game at Brentford tonight I think and not wanting a particular sort of people that may be in the area for this to go in the pub I would guess.

Cracking pub, open till late too. Entered the pub around midnight after going to a nearby techno festival, and was met with a big light-hearted cheer by the locals. They were very friendly and recommended the Guinness. Best pint of Guinness I’ve had in years, or 3 pints should I say. Will be back next year.

Lovely jem of a pub in Brentford, great prices, friendly staff, brilliant 60 inch tv, and many more tv screens, if you need your mobile phone charging that's not a problem, would highly recommend a visit if in the area.
