Visited whenever there's a football match on at Oakwell. This time it was for a boxing match and as always great beer in a pub with good vibe

Used to go in this pub years ago was super friendly and ive had many a memories in this pub, we went in tonight and there was 2 people in the pub, we'd just played a charity match at oakwell raising money, just wanted to unwind after the game, the bar staff was rude, impolite and honestly not the pub i remembered it to be, will not be attending again and as a barnsley supporter since i was 10 years old with many memories in this pub, this saddens me, what is happening to pubs these days, no service with a smile

Lovely pub on my doorstep, people in just enjoying the pub with mates, in summer the beer garden is brilliant with plenty of seats

Seems a decent pub, always busy on a match day you can barely move but outdoor seating is available if you can brave the cold in winter 😉

Unfortunately I'm no longer working at Mount . From Cecilia King . June 2023 This is my local Pub ,its been here as long as I've known it , I've just joined the team, so ill be serving and I can tell you that the New Landlady and Landlord of the Mount is Michelle and Steve from Kent , with their three children. So welcome to Oakwell Barnsley to a lovely family . The Mount will be open to football fans as usual, very busy on March Days . There will also there will be events coming like Kareoke, find on Facebook for more information, Steve who is also a DJ has Top of the range sound system for disco nights etc , so hopefully we see you at the Mount for a friendly Local Pint or two or three who's counting.Not Me . As Swedish Barnsley supporters, The Mount has become a tradition to visit every year. Always friendly staff, great people and good location just next to Oakwell. Can only say good things about this place. See you soon!

Nice now new people have took over the old landlord ruined that pub making locals sit outside while he set up his stupid dj kit that no1 wanted 😒 so glad it's got new owners and the new bar staff are brilliant 👏 👌

The beer was better than the football. Should have stayed there.
