I arranged a lunch for 17. The organisation by, and communication with Claire was first class and it was very easy to manage the process leading up to the event, including arranging menus and pre-ordering meals. On the day, the service was friendly and efficient and all were very pleased with the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food. Definitely book a table. Not fast food... but excellently cooked fresh to order and tasted amazing. We booked after reading reviews... and will be back. Fast and lovely service. Thank you so much. Duck, pork belly kofta and steak burger (you can't see the delicious onion rings in pics)

Food was outstanding. My steak was cooked to perfection, definitely value for money, everything was cooked to.order. Would highly recommend this pub. Blonde lady was really good, attentive but not intrusive. Thank you 👍

The Good Companions roast was recommended to me and I can see why. HUGE portion and very tasty. I went for the lamb shank, a great size and well cooked. We all made the 'mistake' though of having a starter and we struggled to clear our plates, TBH, they could easily half the size of the bread and oil starter and charge the same price, this too was huge. Earlier in the week, we had a few drinks whilst watching the footy and I also had a cheese burger, this too was delicious and well priced, served of course with a great choice of beers.

Great pub with very very good food, I took the easy option and went for the 8oz chuck and short rib burger, which came with skin on fries coleslaw and battered onion rings (fresh not frozen), the burger was dressed mighty grand, hit the spot and stole the space I had reserved for desert. Genuinely friendly staff, choice of eating in the bar, restaurant or outside. All in all a tidy little joint, thank you

We visited 4th April as we have never been in and thought it high time we went. The staff very welcoming and friendly. They explained most things are locally sourced and cooked to order from fresh. We were warned the portion size was on the generous side- lol they weren't wrong 😆 I couldn't finish my scampi n chips. The food was delicious. We would definitely go again

There were four of us turned up on spec last night. They fitted us in, The young lady who served us was very attentive. Three of us had the belly pork one was with chips. Also one had fish and chips. All four meals were fantastic, cooked to perfection, best food we have had out in years. We travel to the IOW from Lymington and stay overnight at the Premier inn just down the road several times a year. So we will be returning every time we stay from now on. If you live local how lucky you are to have such a fantastic food pub close to you. or if you travel like us it's a must try.
