In the literal middle of the Cotswolds, is a pub run by a Londoner who's a proper publican, with a family run Palestinian kitchen serving what can only be described as the most colourful and tasty food I've eaten in a long time.
The menu, is only a handful of dishes but you know that means it's all fresh as it can come. And fresh it really is.
Though there were only two of us we, ordered 3 mains just to try the delights on offer.
Mujaddara is something new, a ricey, nuttle flavour bomb, that you can guarantee has been passed down to the chef from his mother. It has such a home cooked feel.
The shawrmer was stunning as was all the falafel and the sweet treats of Baklawa.
All when the most expensive thing on the menu is 14 quid.
Our food came to 45 quid, for 3 mains a side salad and Baklawa!
Proper food by proper people.

Love the purity of this pub, sitting outside with my friend in the sunshine will always be a memory I will treasure. And the uley beer is one of my favourites. Some pubs are special, this for me is one.

Sadly the food wasn't as promised. Falafel wasn't stuffed. Carrots weren't roasted. No almonds. No feta. It didn't all come out at the same time with a long gap between different meals. It was also a bit cold where we were sitting. Came from Gloucester all very disappointing.

We came this evening for the Palestinian Kitchen, and the food was absolutely delicious. Traditional, homemade, and really tasty. The vegetarian option was really flavoursome and the lamb was melt-in-the-mouth tender. And wonderful service! Thank you!

Great, old, local pub with a good selection of drinks. Serves delicious pizza and is a lovely sun trap for a few late evening drinks in the summer. Also does a brilliant quiz every other Wednesday evening 👍
