Starting to become a regular! Lovely little pub, good location, clean and cosy inside. Extremely dog friendly - the water bowls / dog facilities are greatly appreciated! Really friendly and quick service and not to mention the best cocktails! We are yet to try the food but it looks incredible, will be back again very soon 😊

Appalling food yesterday Sunday 29th June. Melted camembert cheese sharer was cold in the middle we sent it back and got apparently a new one (unlikely) then the mains with sides even worse the pictures say it all, dauphinoise potato were congealed and far from creamy, the mixed vegetables had a inedible hard stalk in it, the tiny piece of pork belly was more fat than meat and cold, the potatoes were uncooked in the middle and more than likely reheated from earlier in the serving. And the to cap it all when ordering drinks on the app a service charge of 10% is added, you can opt out but surely the default should be no service charge but not here!

Today we had Sunday lunch at The Ashton. We booked a table. This is the second time we have eaten at this pub. Last time was in between Christmas and New Year. Food was excellent and our waiter, Harry, was superb. I ordered the superfood salad which was absolutely delicious but a little small. I mentioned to Harry and he came from the kitchen with some more leaves, cucumber and dressing. He didn’t have to do that but went above and beyond. The pub was very busy and Harry, and colleagues, were very busy managing a number of tables. Harry was calm, professional and nothing was too much trouble. He’s a credit to the pub. We will definitely be back.

Lovely place and delicious food. We were served quickly and the food was brought out in no time at all. Was all delicious and cooked to perfection. Portions were good and the ingredients were clearly good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Access is good for wheelchair users. The accessible toilet was good with a decent amount of turning space. I would definitely go here again.

Our first visit to this restaurant and it certainly won’t be our last! The food was to die for. I had the Panzanella Salad with goats cheese and I can honestly say it was the best salad I’ve ever had! Atmosphere was really nice and the young man running the place was super friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to return!

Lovely pub, the server Harry was very welcoming, friendly and attentive! There was a lot of menu choice, the food was very yummy and lots of it! There’s a lovely garden outside that we will definitely revisit in the summer

Just wanted to comment that we had a lovely birthday lunch at the Ashton today. We had the fixed lunch menu which was excellent value and the mushroom starter was a particular favourite with our party Also, I want to add about the incredible service we received from our server Ellis. Nothing was too much trouble and any questions we asked of him, he dealt with them straight away. Highly recommended 😊

Had an absolutely fantastic Sunday roast here, served by Tara, such excellent customer service, couldn't have been better looked after. Was definitely an example of service with a beautiful smile! The food was delicious and portion sizes generous. The cauliflower cheese was an added bonus. Such a warm and relaxed atmosphere too, will definitely be back. Thank you for looking after us Tara.
