Have frequented this proper pub on many occasions and often take out of town guests here. They serve lots of local beer which is fantastic eg Attic and Birmingham Brewing Company. The pub has regular events. Music. Quizzes. LGBT friendly. Very much enjoy it’s a football free zone also. Has a pool table, courtyard garden, benches outdoor which get the afternoon sun and many books you can hide away with friends for a drink. A must visit for Digbeth

Been meaning to use this pub for 40-odd years, but life sort of got in the way. Anyway, popped in a couple of weeks ago and it didn’t disappoint. Great service and a very pleasant crowd. The Guinness is very well kept and sensibly priced. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my local.

I always enjoy coming to the anchor - the staff are super friendly, great service, good choice of beer on tap, and the cocktails are great. There's outside seating and a cosy lounge as well. Really nice vibes, and good music in the bar.

Great old Victorian pub with many original parts . Very good beer choices & a friendly barman . Very handy for Digbeth coach station & the Institute.

Tuesday 18th February 2025 The pub in Birmingham is absolutely a Victorian gem it has unspoilt rooms partitioned off. The owners are superb, there are music areas and quiet rooms the owners are very good. There is 4 really well-kept hand pumped ales on offer tonight This pub is one of the best real ale pubs in this area of Birmingham

Cute pub, just a short walk from The Bullring. Friendly staff, good cocktails, and really fun bar trivia night on Thursdays. They have outdoor seating, a pool table, and some rooms that are more private away from the bar area. There is no kitchen though, so no real food (only small snack bags for purchase).

Always liked this pub but recently closed its doors. Do not know if it will reopen but if it does, I suspect new owners will be running it. Sadly, cannot see this happening any time soon but I may be wrong.
