Well our first two hours in this visit to York was spent within Jonathan Edwards long standing Triple Jump World record. Fifth pub. Been here with Madge a few times. A really old basic pub serving great real ale. Lovely little rooms off from the bar. Great real ale.

The snickleway Inn is a former John Smith's pub. It now has five hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales and also craft beers. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, it's a lovely cosy pub, a visit is highly recommended.

Proper Old Skool boozer run by a proper Landlord, who remembers your face & order, and is rightly proud of his pub. Top Man. We will be back, for a Chocolate Ale & a Pinot Grigio, please Gaffer.

We came for trivia, and the trivia master was funny and made the sting of losing feel good. I want to take him back to the states to meet my son.

Good pub, average choice of local ales, stuff on the toes. Quite small and the worst thing was that it was overheated. A few degrees lover will save on expenses and make the place more comfortable
