86 Brown St, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 2BS, United Kingdom
Why is Rutland Arms good for fans?
City-centre pub a few minutes from Sheffield station and roughly a 15-minute walk to Bramall Lane, making it a handy pre- and post-match stop. CAMRA’s WhatPub lists it close to the railway station and shows lunch/evening food hours if you want a proper meal before kick-off. The pub’s own drinks page highlights 20 cask/keg lines, so larger groups can be served with a wide choice. It appears in away-day guidance as a station-side option for fans walking to the ground, and the venue has opened early specifically on Sheffield United home matchdays, underlining its matchday usefulness. Expect a mixed crowd: locals (Blades) drink here, but away fans also use it as a neutral, beer-focused spot on the route from the trains to Bramall Lane.

Do not be fooled and anticipate simple ‘pub food’. There is some brilliant gourmet stuff coming out of the kitchens here. The team at the bar are always super friendly and talkative and why not when the place is such a good vibe. The ru-tine chips are the pub’s take on poutine and boy is it good. Priced fairly for a chunky portion oozing with saucy flavour. You’d be a fool to ignore the food on offer here and the variety of drinks you can try too.

Pinkies up for the best steak sandwich in all of South Yorkshire! I’ve eaten two now and they never disappoint. Great sandwiches, wonderful staff and wholesome vibes. Probably more LGBT+ friendly than Dempseys

There’s always an eclectic range of cask & craft at what must be Sheffield’s premier pub. Close to the 🚂 station, there’s something for everyone.

Absolute gem. Great beers, great food, atmosphere and great staff. Pets welcome.
Ten of us there twice in two days, all agree it was the best in Sheffield despite some wonderful competition.

One of the best pubs in Sheffield. Visiting this place whenever visit Sheffield and after many visits, time to leave my review.
Staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive, service is good and quick. The drinks they are offering is top selection. Cask and specially keg beers are the great choice. Good variety from the best breweries of UK.
Food is good too and the atmosphere is super cool. Whenever i go there, it’s full packed., doesn’t matter about weather or season, crowd never goes down.
So if your beer lover and visiting Sheffield, then must try Rutland. They will never disappoint you.

My first time visiting here today. Was a great atmosphere and bar staff were friendly. I didn’t have food myself but my friend did, it was beautifully presented and was told it tasted lovely! Prices were very good too☺️

It was a quiet rainy Sunday evening when we visited. Good selection of beers but they don't "prominently display" a complete price list, which led to the purchase of a £6.60 pint, for context other beers around £4.20 or less. Bit on the scruffy side, a drinkers pub.
