Why is Brass Monkey good for fans?

On Middlewood Road in Hillsborough, Brass Monkey promotes Sheffield Wednesday matchdays and shows games live on Sky Sports, making it a natural pre/post-match spot for home supporters. It’s next to Hillsborough Park and a short walk from the Hillsborough tram stop, so it’s easy to reach on matchday without needing to drive. Recent posts explicitly invite Wednesday fans in on matchdays and advertise live football on TV, reinforcing its role as a home-fan hub close to Hillsborough Stadium.

Very friendly micro bar where we enjoyed pre and post meal drinks. We will call in again, particularly as we took advantage of the loyalty card.

Typical of the micro bar scene. One room for about 30 people plus some outdoor seating to the front. Only one real ale which was from the local micro brewery Loxley. It was Revill blond. Was not one for me. I found it a bit sharp. Think they specialise in craft beer.

The lass on the bar couldn’t pull a pint. Half pint and half head. She was more interested in playing on her phone than serving. Also, every drink we asked for, she didn’t have. I don’t think she could be bothered to change the barrels. Paige is the best bar maid in there

Great little bar to pop into and grab a decent craft beer , Im not a large ale drinker so the lack of real ales on tap for me isn’t an issue , the great selection of craft beer on offer is however as I don’t live near and it’s hard to say no when you get going , good atmosphere , worth a visit if in the area

What a great place. Child and dog friendly. I love the fact that the bartenders are happy to show kids how a pub works and allows them to look behind the bar, The smile on their faces are priceless. Absolutely love the staff and the place

A very small but cosy bar with a wide selection of beers and gins on offer. Don't expect much space but the staff are lovely and the quiz on a Tuesday is good fun. Recommended for any beer or gin fan.
