Chedwyn Michael Evans, commonly known as Ched Evans, is a professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Preston North End in the English Football League Championship. Born on December 28, 1988, in Rhyl, Wales, Evans began his football career at the youth academy of Chester City before moving on to Manchester City’s youth setup. He made his professional debut for Manchester City in 2007 and went on to have successful loan spells at Norwich City and Sheffield United before signing permanently with the Blades in 2009.
