A nice little pub, with a very friendly staff (and lots of beautiful doggos about to give a quick scratch!).
The food was bang on, nice and fresh, and excellent portions for the price.
My only suggestion was the staff would be a little more attentive with serving tables, but I put this largely down to unexpected busyness due to the sun making a rare appearance, so it’s only a minor niggle.
Both staff we dealt with were super friendly, and happy to do whatever was needed for us.
We’ll definitely be back if we’re up this way again!

First time stepping foot into the Kingfisher today for Fathers day and boy it didnt disappoint. We booked a table as we have heard good things about this pub so we thought we best had to. We got shown to our table and phoebe came and took our drinks and food. The food came and by gosh it was filling, I couldn't eat my pie but my husband managed to demolish his sunday roast somehow. We also got a kids chicken chunk meal and cheese pizza meal and the kids demolished it and normally they can be fussy. 🤣 kids had pudding which was 2 scoops of icecream and also a kids brownie and icecream. When the bill came I was expecting it to be alot more than what it was and for the price we paid was fantastic.
I just want to say a massive thank you to Pheobe who went above and beyond with the children, the silly things the kids loved like 'we have no corn on the cob just go to kfc and get some' it confused the kids but we thought it was a fantastic response. We will sure to be back for some more lovely food. Thank you

Absolutely lovely meals. It was our first time here, my daughter lives near and suggested it.
Wasn't dissapointed with the meals we all enjoyed them.
I had the large roast dinner and one of my daughter's did, it was so tasty the beef was lovely.
Very colourful plate as there was Savoy cabbage and carrot batons and the cauliflower cheese was lovely. Homemade roast potatoes and two big homemade Yorkshire puddings.
My partner loved the salt and pepper chicken and chips.
Would definitely go here again, lovely inside and the staff so attentive, couldn't fault it.
Update April 2025
Been here a few times can't fault the food here, it's always lovely

Went here with my wife, our kids and their families for my birthday lunch. Service was quick, friendly and (considering there were 8 of us!) very attentive. More importantly the food was hot and delicious; and the drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Great warm atmosphere too which made it a birthday to remember for me. My thanks to all the staff.

Excellent service would highly recommend it to friends and family. The waitress flinty was very attentive and looked after my disabled mother. We would definitely return. Excellent food and at a reasonable price.

Staff are really good and food is decent for pub standards but let down by a moody, lifeless owner. Seems absolutely miserable and doesn't even want to be there. Shame because the staff are all lovely.
Prices are also a little high, £4 for a lemonade seems mental to me. Decent for a quick stop if you're passing.

Visited the Kingfisher several times for lunch on a recent trip to the UK. Couldn't fault the place. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and good service. There is a decent menu that should cover most tastes. I had Gammon, Mixed Grill, Chicken Calypso on the different times I visited and nothing went to waste
