A strong home-fan pre-match option near Derby railway station, the Brunswick operates a matchday policy of “home fans only,” making it a reliable meeting point for Rams supporters. It serves hot food at lunchtime and into early evening (Tues–Sat 12:00–19:00; Sun 12:00–16:00), helpful for lining up before typical 12:30 or 15:00 kick-offs. As Derby’s on-site microbrewery tap, it offers an extensive cask selection including core Brunswick beers, so groups can enjoy quality pints before heading to Pride Park. Its proximity to the station makes it an easy first stop for those arriving by rail on matchdays.

Didn't try the food but what a fantastic pub. Superb architecturally, the ale in perfect condition and great range including their brewery output.
A myriad of different rooms for all comforts.can't recommend highly enough especially for the discerning drinker or otherwise.

Been going to this local pub for over 20 years, Good range of flat ciders upto 16. Had 8 when I visited. Also their cheesy chip butties are amazing. Its a very well known real ale pub and a must visit if your in the area.

What a fantastic real ale pub with a great selection of beers, with a variety brewed on site, and all at a very reasonable price particularly if you’ve got a CAMRA membership. Tried several beers all of which were very tasty and exceptionally well kept. The pub has a traditional feel with several different rooms, and railway associated memorabilia. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Food is available although I only managed the delicious Cheese and Onion Cob. Well worth a visit and handy for both the railway and bus stations.

Very authentic local place with interesting atmosphere.
The beer was nice, eventhough the bartender did not know whats on tap, she let us taste it ;)
The burger was fairly good, however I really missed some vegetables, sauce, or pickles from it.

Love the Brunswick. It was our stop at the end of an Easter pub crawl around Derby.
If we'd started here I wouldn't have wanted to leave.
Opened in 1842 and marked for demolition along with the railway cottages in the mid 70's this pub has been left derelict and abandoned more than once.
It was lovingly renovated, restored and reopened in 1987.
It is a thing of beauty and not to be missed if ever this way you do pass.

I have been to the Brunswick Inn a few times in the last five years during visits to Derby. Always a great choice of Ales. However, this was the first time of eating there. I had the beef and cheeseburger with bacon and double cooked chips. Freshly prepared, enjoyed this meal. They serve a range of 'Pub Grub' selected days only. Really pleased to have eaten here for a change.

Wonderful staff, fabulous food and great atmosphere. Our party of 46 thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic service from Mr Philippe and his team. I highly recommend The Brunswick for larger parties.

If you are looking for a traditional pub with character and a large choice of independent ales, then this is the place for you.
However, sadly the food lets it down.
I ordered the cod croquettes which were more like fish cakes which were obviously cooked from Frozen. I also had a ham and mushroom pizza which the base tasted pre-baked.
This place is far from a gastro-pub. More like a traditional pub selling a choice of snacks and nibbles.
