209 London Rd, Boothen, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 5RW, United Kingdom
Why is Sutherland Arms good for fans?
A short walk from Stoke town centre and close to bus routes and the railway station, the Sutherland Arms is convenient for matchdays. The pub regularly shows live football on Sky Sports and posts Stoke City match promotions, and it opens early specifically for Stoke City fans seeking pre- and post-game pints. CAMRA/WhatPub also lists sports TV among its features, reinforcing its match-viewing setup. These factors make it a solid home-fan meet spot before or after games, and a place to catch televised fixtures when the Potters are away.

I haven’t even left yet and I feel compelled to leave this review. Might I start by saying thank you for a lovely stay the room is wonderful and really clean I mean really clean. The price point is not only but I think it was unbelievably cheap. The barman who treated us was so attentive and a much needed asset to this pub. And I love the proper pub atmosphere with the locals all having a laugh and really friendly. Definitely staying again

Very clean cosy room . Probably the hottest night ever so the large fan was most welcome . Currently sitting in the courtyard which is a nice area. Very nice kitchen area for guests use . Here for my granddaughters graduation .

Our room was one of the nicest and most reasonable rooms we have ever stayed in. Had one night here while attending a gig at the King's Hall. The landlady, Kate, was lovely too. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for two nights, it was great. Really nice hosts, lovely comfortable room, friendly locals at the bar that I had a great time with. Brilliant little pub!

Really friendly landlord. Great privacy in terms of getting to your room, everything is pin locked. The rooms were tidy and a great size. The bathroom was quite old and hadn’t been looked after the best. But overall we all said we would stay again and it was very well priced.

Stayed here for a week. The landlord was lovely, very informative. The location was great easy to get to Staffordshire University. The rooms were tidy spacious and safe. There is free car parking next to the pub. My only issue was on one night there was music until 1130 at night but it's a pub and otherwise it was fine.

It was absolutely amazing in here. Justin the barman was fantastic. He was extremely welcoming when we arrived. He showed us everything & made sure we knew everything we needed to.
The room was beautiful & clean. There was a shared kitchen which meant we were able to have our own food, in our own time.
The atmosphere in the pub was great, the locals were extremely welcoming & we had a good laugh with them. We will definitely be back when we get the chance

Very nice rooms but the music from the pub below continues until 12.30am. The landlord is extremely helpful and pleasant. It was nice to have self catering facilities in the shared kitchen. There was plenty for breakfast on the serve yourself buffet. Recommended.
