Why is The Hyde Park good for fans?
CAMRA’s WhatPub lists The Hyde Park among pubs near Home Park, making it a practical matchday stop. It opens from 10:00 daily, with food served all day (breakfast through to evening), so you can eat pre- or post-match. WhatPub also notes it’s close to bus routes and the railway station for easy travel to and from the ground. For a pint, both WhatPub and the venue’s website confirm three permanent real ales (Tribute, Jail Ale, Doom Bar) plus rotating local guests — useful for groups meeting before heading over to the stadium.
I can’t tell you how utterly blown away we were when the ribs came. Food was delicious (took ribs home - wrapped lovely by the staff who were all friendly and cool). Love the decor and atmosphere

Had the gin afternoon tea here. The presentation was lovely, nice selection of food, although the coronation chicken sandwich was very spicy & the mini quiche was frozen in the middle. The staff were brilliant, offering us a great selection of gins, which went down a treat.
There was an awful smell though in the seating area booth, the carpet smelt very mouldy & there was powder sprinkled all over it, so there was obviously a problem there.
Overall it was nice, but not the best afternoon tea I've been too.

Passed this place a few times on my holiday in Plymouth and decided to give it a try for a meal and we were totally impressed. When you first walk in it's so impressive with all the collection of signs and collectables covering almost every inch of this place so if you're into the past this pub is the place to go. The food is absolutely lovely and looks like some effort has gone into preparation and the prices are very reasonable and the staff seemed very nice and polite so give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Great selection of drinks, interesting and unique decor. Staff are super friendly and smiley. Good seating outside when it's sunny and lovely indoor seating when it's cold out. Good place to meet up with friends for a drink or two, one of my favourite pubs/bars in Plymouth!

Have visited twice now and have really enjoyed the food both times. The right sized portions, nice pub style food and friendly staff. Like the whole vibe of the place with the London style pub atmosphere with the walls covered in old memorabilia. If more pubs were like The Hyde Park, I don't think the British pub industry would be in such decline. Will definitely visit again. Also very reasonably priced which doesn't mean it's low quality food or tiny portions - it's nice to go for a meal and not feel completely ripped off! Thank you
