Why is The Coronet good for fans?

The Coronet is listed by football fan guides as a viable away pub and is about a 10-minute walk to the Emirates Stadium, making it convenient for pre-match meet-ups. The pub advertises Premier League games live via Sky Sports on big screens, so fans can watch earlier kick-offs before heading to the ground. Food is served daily, useful for lining the stomach on matchdays. CAMRA/WhatPub notes that on Arsenal home games the venue manages entry and switches to plastic glasses, indicating it actively caters for large matchday crowds.

I love the historic cinema decor. Think it’s fantastically charismatic as a venue. I just don’t like the steep prices. £3.50 for a half pint is a joke in this part of town.

This old cinema that was saved and turned into a bar is vast inside. Seating all around a central console the lighting is difficult and can seem gloomy in the evening - but went there today for the large breakfast, and unlimited coffee for a price that’s hard to beat. Yet in the day time it was more vibrant than I expected, the staff are always pleasant and efficient. And when you want to drink they have the best pint of Abbott you can find anywhere! Again for a price second to none.

2024 Update: No longer a Wetherspoons. Absolutely devastating for the community. Original review: Our local Spoons, we've been here about six times since moving to the area and we've never been disappointed. The chap with the piercing just below their lip went above and beyond to give us excellent service today, thank you.

Beer are constantly sold out for the last 3 consecutive weeks. Though some members of staff are friendly, knows your order and tries to have a conversation even when they are short of staff, what annoys me is the constant change of codes to access the toilet, the lack of beer choices as they take forever to restock. Was a great pub until new management took over from whetherspoons. Some days they’d even tell you they don’t have any food at all. Friday night karaoke is ok but often you’d find the pub empty on weekends.

Great Pub which has maintained his identity even after being no longer a weatherspoon. The food is good, there's a good beer choice and it's the local pub everyone would like to have around their doorstep.

This is no longer a weatherspoon so was disappointed when I arrived. Visited on a Saturday at 4pm prior to Robbie Williams concert and ordered at the bar for food and drinks. Wanted a hot drink and was given a dirty cup but was told by the bar staff that it had just come out of the dishwasher and told him once again it was still dirty. No response from him but he got me a drinks glass so presumed this was for my tea. Tea machine kept breaking down with an error code. I was told by the kitchen staff that they had run out of fish and chips and I could order something else of the same value but there was nothing so made my choice by ordering 3 items to make up the same value. My friend waited over an hour for her food which was under cooked. After waiting for 1 1/2 hours for my food I asked the bar staff for a refund as the concert was fast approaching and had to leave. No apologies from the staff. Sadly I won't be returning.

Coronet is cracking before or after an Arsenal game, but the new staff and security are incredibly abrupt and rude (why work in the hospitality sector if you have no people skills, manners or sense of humour). New menu is okay, but not worth the prices being charged. Staff don’t want to help and would rather be rude to punters. Should have stayed a Wetherspoons, new staff and management are not the ones, sad what the coronet has become!

I didn't eat on this visit, but I did enjoy a Champions ale by Twickenham. I was really impressed with the art deco building inside and out. I was told by a customer that this one may be closing? Hopefully, it doesn't close. Lauren is a keen member of staff and very polite. Very reasonable prices 👌
